InYourHands is provided by KWE ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the personal information described here. Contact us at support@kwe.life.

What we collect

• Things you add: lists and list items, comments on shared lists, trip details, traveller names, birthdays (name, date, relationship and notes) and renewal dates and providers.
• Passport details you choose to share for a trip. These are encrypted on your phone before they leave it, only the trip organiser can unlock them, and they are deleted after check-in or when the trip ends.
• An app user ID created when you first open the app, and your email address if you save your account.
• A notification token for each phone or browser where you allow notifications, and your reminder choice (notifications, daily email, both or off).
• Subscription status if you buy Premium. Payment details are handled by Google Play (Android app) or Stripe (web app); we never see your card.
• Anonymous performance data, such as how long the app takes to start.

Your household notes, documents, contracts, tasks and routines stay on your phone and are not sent to us.

Why we use it

We use your information to run the features you choose: syncing your lists, trips and birthdays, sharing with people you invite, sending the reminders you set up and managing Premium. Our lawful basis is performing our contract with you. For performance data it is our legitimate interest in keeping the app working well.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data and we do not show ads. - Google Firebase (Google Ireland Ltd) stores data and sends notifications. - Google Play (Android app), and RevenueCat with Stripe (web app), process Premium purchases. RevenueCat receives your app user ID and purchase receipts only; Stripe receives the card and billing details you enter at checkout. - If you choose the daily email, Resend sends it to your email address on our behalf. - If you use Document Intelligence (Premium), the photo, screenshot or PDF you choose is sent to Google Gemini through Firebase AI Logic so it can be read. - Open-Meteo receives the trip destination and dates, with no personal details, to fetch weather. - People you invite to a shared list or trip can see what is shared with them.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK under approved safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Shopping and quote links

Get Quotes and Send a card or gift open partner websites in your browser. We do not send them any of your information. We may earn a commission if you buy. Their own privacy policies apply.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while you use the app. Passport details are deleted after the trip. Sent reminders are removed automatically. If you delete your account we delete your data straight away, and any backups within 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, delete or export your data, or object to how we use it, by emailing support@kwe.life. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

InYourHands is for adults. It is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above and let you know in the app.
